Mandatory Reporting Procedure

Southeast Soccer Club recognizes that we are responsible for harboring a safe environment that protects the physical and emotional safety of each player / child in our organization. We follow the (PYSA) Portland Youth Soccer Association's Mandatory Reporting Procedures, which can be found here:

Dear Southeast Soccer Club Coaches, Team Managers & Volunteers,

On February 14th, 2018, the President of the United States signed the Protecting Young Victims from Sexual Abuse and Safe Sport Authorization Act of 2017, which is aimed at protecting amateur athletes from sexual abuse. Child abuse is defined as physical or mental injury, sexual abuse or exploitation, or negligent treatment of a child.

What exactly does the Law state and what is required? Please click for information about the law and how it is being implemented. Please note the requirements of this law as a Mandatory Reporter.

After reading this information about the law, we are asking that you take the education module at called "Mandatory Reporting" to understand all that is involved with this law. This educational module is free of charge and will take approximately 20-25 minutes. Please use the information below to register and take this free module.

Please note this new law requires that all those in a position of authority with children are Mandatory Reporters of any abuse as outlined on the PYSA website.
