Recreation Futsal Options

Winter Futsal is a great way to move your footy play indoors during the Winter Months. Oregon Youth Soccer Association is hosting 2 Winter League Sessions, and games will be at a number of different futsal facilities around town.

Recreational registration is not done through SESC. Below are details for the 2 ways to register, either as a team or individually.

U6 & U7 play 3v3, U8 - U19 play 5v5.

Registration as a Team

Team registration is done through the OYSA website by the coach or a volunteer

  • Games can be either Sat or Sun, no practices

  • Winter 1: Games are November 10 - January 20. Registration Deadline is Oct. 22, after that teams are accepted based on availability and pay a higher rate.

  • Winter 2: Games are January 27 to March 17, Registration deadline is Jan. 14

Individual Sign Up

If you want to play but don't have a team you can register at Rose City Futsal and be put on a team. These teams will then compete in the OYSA sessions, see above for dates

Quick Facts

  • A futsal court (field) is about the size of a basketball court
  • A futsal ball is smaller, heavier and less bouncy than a soccer ball

  • No offsides rule

  • Goalies throw the ball out

  • Players wear flat bottomed athletic shoes, usually indoor soccer but can be flat runners, tennis etc.
